Frequently Asked Questions.

What is covered?

Your membership includes unlimited visits with your doctor for wellness exams, chronic disease management and acute care visits. It also includes better access directly to your doctor through phone, email and texts. We will also be working on negotiating steeply discounted labs and wholesale priced medications.

Do I still need insurance?

Although we do not bill or file insurance, we do recommend patients keep an insurance plan to cover major illness, hospitalizations and specialists

I have insurance. Why join a DPC?

Health Insurance does not equal health care. With better access to your doctor in a DPC we believe your health and overall wellness will benefit. Health insurance may not cover as much as you think, leading to unexpected bills. DPC pricing is transparent.

What if I need to cancel my membership?

We understand that your needs may change, please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help. If you do need to cancel, we request a 30-day notice.

I only go to the doctor once a year for a physical. Why would I want to joint a DPC?

DPC is not right for everyone, but even for a yearly physical, within DPC, we can spend alot more time discussing prevention and screening options, we can discuss your overall health and talk about ways to get you healthier, not just the healthy that insurance relies on with blood work and a blood pressure. We will also be available if something does come up between those yearly physicals.

Do you prescribe chronic pain medications?

No. We will be happy to care for your primary care and refer to a Pain Management specialist if needed. Please also see the CDC recommendations on opioids: https://www.cdc.gov/drugoverdose/pdf/aha-patient-opioid-factsheet-a.pdf
